Next stop: Wat Saket temple. Climb the 300 steps to the top, and once you reach the Golden Mount, you'll be left almost speechless at the sight of Bangkok bathed in the warm light of the slowly setting sun beneath you. Then pop over to the Pak Khlong Talat flower market before cruising into a hidden alley in the enchanting Old District to pig out on the tastiest street food dishes.

The famous three golden spires of the Grand Palace shimmer at you in the distance, and it's absolutely royal. Not far from there, you see the blazing colours and fairytale towers of Wat Pho. Meditative chants resonate from the temple's interior, and for a moment, you forget that you're in the capital’s bustling heart. But the highlight has to be the enormous Buddha, laden in burnished gold and calmly reclining on its side. Now you want to see even more! As you climb the over 300 steps to Wat Saket, the temple's golden chedi towers before you and the view leaves you breathless. After that, it's time to get floral. You make your way to the Flower Market and suddenly find yourself in an aromatic explosion of pinks, whites and yellows, basking in a sea of heavenly fragrance. Bangkok's got you hooked!
