L.A.'s Hollywood glamour to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge

Streets lined with palm trees, the sun shining in the sky, the sound of the ocean in the distance and every now and then, a celebrity who crosses your path – Los Angeles is calling! Today, you're experiencing what you've only ever seen in films and series. And now there's not much separating you from Beverly Hills and the famous Hollywood Sign. As soon as you put your bags in your hotel room, you're ready to go. Time to find out how the stars in L.A. really live! Take a trip to Beverly Hills, roll along the iconic Mulholland Drive and check out the Walk of Fame, where over 2,800 pink stars are waiting for a selfie with you. And of course, don't miss the Hollywood Sign! Head to Griffith Observatory for the best view of it and enjoy the perfect combination of city vibes and sunset magic.
If you don't already feel like you're in a film, by the time you find yourself standing on the famous Santa Monica Pier, looking at the colourful Ferris wheel and the rattling roller coaster, you definitely do! After all, this setting has served as a backdrop for tons of them! And the best is yet to come. In Santa Monica, you hop on a bike and experience the most beautiful side of L.A. from a whole new perspective – and where you cycle to is up to you. Our suggestion: Take a tour along the beautiful beach promenade to the wild and exciting Venice Beach. After leaving Santa Monica Pier behind, your path takes you through the palm-lined Palisades Park, and you never lose sight of the breathtaking Californian coast. When you see the bodybuilders on Muscle Beach, you know you've reached Venice. The Ocean Front Walk is bustling with life, and nowhere else can you experience the California lifestyle as closely as here. So you grab something cold to drink and watch as artists spread out their masterpieces among the graffiti-covered buildings, restaurants and cafés, and street musicians provide the ultimate source of entertainment.
Ready to hit the beach? Then slide on your flip flops! The only question: which one first? Venice Beach, with its classic cult status, is an obvious choice, but Malibu Beach, with its endless sand and laid-back vibes, is just as tempting. No matter which you choose, L.A.'s gleaming shores feel like a set from your favourite TV series. Prefer to hit the streets? Then head downtown! The Disney Concert Hall shining among the skyscrapers is an instant eye-catcher – futuristic, fancy and perfect for top-tier pics. And right after that, take a leap back in time at Union Station, a historic railway station that’s been a backdrop for loads of films and is a must for every cinephile.
If you still haven't seen enough, even after exploring half of L.A., how about a hike in Runyon Canyon? Not only is this trail super popular in general, but it's also incredibly popular among celebrities. So you'll have a good chance of meeting one or two of them while they're out hiking themselves. And once you reach the top, you'll also have a wonderful view of the sprawling metropolis. When you're done and have soaked in enough of the sights, head out for a bit of shopping. Well, perhaps at least some window shopping, because Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills is lined with one designer store after the next. But don't worry, you'll find plenty of shops with more affordable prices in the surrounding streets. And there's no shortage of restaurants in the area either. Whether typically American or international, there's something for everyone here!
