Touchdown in Nairobi! The sun's shining, the air's warm and you're in the only capital city in the world with its own national park. First things first, you drop your bags off at your place to stay and take a breather before the adventure begins. Then it's on to the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) Tower. From up here, you can enjoy the best 360-degree view of the city, full of skyscrapers, green parks and even Nairobi National Park in the distance – perfect for the first impressions and a few epic photos! Next, you're off to the Giraffe Centre, where you can not only see the rare Rothschild giraffes up close but even feed them by hand. Now that's wildlife! When your stomach starts growling, treat yourself to some nyama choma – Kenya's juicy, smoky and delicious grilled meat – at a local spot. And the best place to round off the day has to be Alchemist Bar. Here, open-air vibes meet fresh beats, street food and a legendary atmosphere. What a start to your Nairobi adventure!
Your day starts early but it's so worth it. After all, you're going on safari in Nairobi National Park (fees payable on site)! Just imagine the sun rising over the savannah as you roll through the wilderness, a lion lazing in the middle of the grass and giraffes nibbling on acacia trees. And all this with the skyline in the background – surreal but totally real! Back in the city, Maasai Market Collections Karen awaits. Between colourful kitenge fabrics, cool jewellery and woven baskets, it's the top spot for handmade souvenirs. But beware: this is haggling country! Fixed price? There's no such thing. So get negotiating and you'll get the best deals with a smile. If you've still got energy come evening, why not head to a rooftop bar for sundowner vibes or straight into the nightlife full of Afrobeats, drinks and good vibes? Nairobi by night is next-level!
Cuteness overload incoming! Today starts with an absolute highlight: the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Here, you're about to meet rescued baby elephants that are being nursed back to health and prepped for a life in the wild. And 11 o'clock means one thing: feeding time. Little trunks reach for the milk bottles, stompy feet splash about in the mud and big ears flap playfully. It's too cute to handle! After the baby animals have had their fill, it's lunch time for you, too. Cultiva is the perfect choice for fresh bowls, homemade fizzy drinks and garden vibes to relax in before you head to Karura Forest, a green oasis right in the heart of Nairobi. Huge trees conceal hidden caves and a waterfall that's perfect for a little break. Stroll around, take a deep breath and simply enjoy nature – the perfect slow-down after all your adventures over the last few days.
