How about a stop at Ahupua'a o Kahana State Park? When you arrive, you know one thing for sure: here, the journey is the destination. Accompanied by the deep blue ocean to your left and bright green nature to your right, you speed along the highway, and when you reach the campsite, you're amazed by the sight of towering, green mountains that line the bay in which Ahupua'a o Kahana State Park is located. And from the Kapa'ele'ele Ko'a Hiking Trail and the Keaniani Lookout Trail, you're able to get an even better view of the bay. The approx. 1.2-mile-long Kapa'ele'ele Ko'a Hiking Trail also takes you past cultural sites. So, you get out and start exploring! In the evening, you sit in front of your van and gaze at the deep red sun slowly disappearing into the sea on the horizon, and it's all simply magical!
