Where are you right now? That's right, still in the air! As you daydream, you fly over up to three continents, a whole host of countries and even more cities. On the screen in front of you, you can see the distance to NZ getting smaller and smaller. Excited? You bet!
You've finally touched down in New Zealand! You quickly shake off your tiredness from the journey and make your own way to your accommodation. Starting out on New Regent Street, you admire the colourful houses that throw back to the colonial style. And you notice something else, too: in some places, the buildings look randomly scattered together! The rebuilding of Christchurch after the major 2011 earthquake is the chief reason for this mosaic-like cityscape, which gives off a totally special vibe. If you want to learn more, why not visit the Quake City Museum (optional, payable on site)? And if you don't want to miss a single stop in the city, then take a ride on the historic tram (optional, payable on site)! On the almost 50-minute ride, you'll pass through the entire city centre and can sit back and relax while the top must-sees whizz past. Plus, if you're lucky enough to be here at the weekend, you've just got to hit up the Farmer's Market in Riccarton Bush, which offers local specialities every Saturday – go on, savour the experience!

And then you see it: the lake shining in an unreal turquoise tone that you've never seen before, the majestic mountains rising up in the background and, right in the middle of the water, a green island that looks like a painting. In the evening, you spread out your cosy blanket and gaze up at the sky, because there's hardly any other place in the world where the stars twinkle as brightly as here!
