At the airport, you pick up your hire car straight away because before you plunge into Manhattan's colourful city life, you're off to Philadelphia – not quite as famous, but no less exciting! As you speed south past picturesque American towns, your excitement about the adventures ahead grows ever greater.

When you finally get to exploring, D.C. comes across as unexpectedly peaceful. Commotion, chaos, skyscrapers? Not here! Head for the cobblestone streets of Georgetown, which may be the city's most beautiful district. And when you're done with that, have a taste of what they're serving up at Ben's Chili Bowl. It's not without reason that D.C.'s most iconic restaurant attracts all the big names from both show business and politics!

Up 'n at 'em – there's just so much to see in D.C.! First stop: the Capitol. It feels crazy to suddenly be standing in front of the huge, white building that you've only ever seen on TV. This is where history is made, and you can even take a look inside on a free tour! Afterwards, you continue on to the National Mall, a huge promenade that links the city's most famous landmarks. Along the way, you spot the iconic Lincoln Memorial, the imposing Washington Monument – towering 555 feet into the air! – and fascinating museums, such as the Natural History Museum and the Museum of American History. And they're all free of charge, by the way! Take a break to chill out on the lawn lining the promenade and simply soak up the vibes. Next, there's no way you can miss the White House! It's impressive from afar, but up close, it's totally next level. Who knows, you might even run into a Secret Service agent – incognito, of course!

So grab your keys, fire up the engine and cruise through the impressive Appalachian landscape, past dark forests and deep gorges, across Maryland, Pennsylvania and upstate New York – pure road trip vibes! Then make a stop in the Allegheny National Forest on one of the tallest bridges in the US and walk high above the dense sea of trees as you let your gaze wander over the vast landscape.
