Pure adventure in the tropics of the Indian Ocean – a lifelong dream is finally coming true! With boundless excitement, you board the plane and escape the daily grind. You lean back and can already hear the sound of the sea. Only a few more hours separate you from paradise in the Indian Ocean, and you spend them imagining all the wonderful experiences you'll have.
Accompanied by the stars, you take to the sky and fly at lightning speed to one of the most beautiful natural gems on our planet.
Welcome to Mauritius! Fabulous beaches, mountain peaks, rainforest and waterfalls – in this little corner of the world, you find it all! You grab the keys to your hire car, step on the accelerator and your adventure begins. First stop: your accommodation. You find your glamping tent nestled in lush greenery, surrounded by the sounds of nature. But before the murmur of the river lulls you to sleep, you explore the area and familiarise yourself with your options – because here, it never gets boring!
Your spirit of discovery has been awakened! What's there to see here? The lodge offers you countless opportunities to explore nature. Grab a stand-up paddleboard or a kayak, set off on the Grand River South East and pass by beautiful mangroves on your way to a majestic waterfall. You know that feeling when you get to where you're going and it's even more beautiful than you thought? That's exactly what you get here. Just pause for a moment and enjoy the picturesque panorama. And when you're back at your accommodation, answer the call of the sea! Breathe in the salty air and feel the soft sand between your toes as you stroll along the beach and then cool off in the waves. If you're raring to get back at it after your afternoon sunbathing session, borrow a mountain bike from the lodge and explore the mountain landscape. As you pedal along the river, you'll constantly find yourself surrounded by sugar cane plantations, and on the way to Mahébourg, you'll discover small, hidden waterfalls again and again – that's Mauritius!
The best thing about Mauritius is that despite its small size, the island is home to loads of natural wonders. See for yourself today! Where you go is all up to you. Check out the huge statue of Shiva at the island's holiest Hindu temple, the Grand Bassin, aka Ganga Talao. The lake behind it, which according to legend contains healing water, is surrounded by majestic statues of gods and is super impressive! Is Black River Gorges National Park on your bucket list? Then you won't want to miss the view from the Gorges Viewpoint. Prefer a mix of colours over just green? Stand atop the platform in La Vallée Des Couleurs Nature Park and be overwhelmed by what lies in the middle of the dense forest: an area of rainbow-coloured dunes known as Seven Coloured Earth. What a sight! Yet another must-see on the island is the Chamarel Waterfall, where natural torrents plunge into the depths like something right out of a painting.
