The Otentic Eco Lodge offers a daily boat transfer to Île aux Cerfs (registration required the day before), and all you’ve got to do is pack your swimsuit and weigh anchor! At 9:30 am, you set off and glide across the waves of the Indian Ocean until you reach the offshore island dream. With bright white sand beaches surrounded by green pine trees and palm-covered landscapes, it's hard to believe how beautiful it looks from afar – not to mention the beauty of the crystal-clear sea shimmering in various shades of turquoise. Once you reach the shore, you feel the soft sand under your feet and soak in the marvellous view. The best thing about this boat tour, unlike others, is that it takes you to the remote part of Île aux Cerfs, where you're able to get the most authentic island feeling. So spread out your towel and relax! The boat will take you back to the Eco Lodge at around 1 pm. And if you're up for some action, get back out there on your stand-up paddleboard or maybe try your hand at kite surfing!

From the city's promenade, you'll have a clear view of Lion Mountain – see if you can make out the sleeping lion's silhouette! If you'd like to pay a visit to the king of the jungle, then lace up your hiking boots and take a hike from his back to his head. Even if the hike costs you a bead or two of sweat, the effort's totally worth it! Once you reach the top, a unique panorama and a magical moment await: a gorgeous view over the entire east coast to the turquoise-blue sea and shimmering white sand beaches – wow!
