Today, you've got the chance to experience a true Malaysian highlight on your own: the Batu Caves! Just hop on the KTM Komuter train from KL Sentral – cheap and easy – and ride out. If you want a little more comfort, you can also take a Grab (app-based taxi). The first thing you'll see when you arrive is the gigantic, 131-foot-high golden statue of the god Murugan – the perfect start to your adventure. Then it's on to the 272 colourful steps.
